You can remove LAW from the #4
I wasnt sure, thus the reason I makered it.
Thanks.
I talked to Chris Lyons on the phone yesterday. He said he was going to try and make the season in 2011.
How about that Ross, does that give you some motivation to get the car done? :P
Can we bring dues money to the banquet, or do we need to send a check to someone?
Yep, Sign me up.
Also since Al is now the treasurer, How much is in the fund now?
That was the plan. :wink:Quote:

Man, your in charge of people and stuff? Bet the communication problems are always from the bottom up, aren't they?
I didn't know we could broker our assigned car numbers.
Or is this just a management perk?
Jeez guys. I'm just trying to look out for a Newbie and welcome him into the series. He's got a beautiful roadster in his garage with a big, fat "2" on the sides. I've told him to get in touch with the Glenn Landrum Welcoming Committee so he can be beaten into submission, cough up his dues, and make his car # intentions known.
If the local AICMC leadership team (and Mitch) would rather have the esteemed #2 for a LAW Motorsports team car, or give the car # to those "in the know" here on the forum rather than to the unaware new guy (who already has it on his car)...have at it.
Remember....Always think of the new guy....
(Heck...For all I know his favorite may be 22!)

We just wanted to give him a number more fitting to the cars finishing position. 99 or __ since it was talked about more than it was raced.
And what makes you think we have been holding that number under your name all this time?
Don't make me stop this car!!!!
That means Gunter is screwed.Quote:

Send the AI/CMC list over to Dave B. soonest to reserve our numbers, Glenn!

Please add me to the list - #29.
Are we supposed to reply regarding errors with the linked list? If so, I think about 80% of it is wrong.
Check out the thread over on the NASA Forums in the Texas section.
Dave Balingut just released this today...there's a land grab for annual #s and if Glenn just sends Dave our list....that will populate the majority of AI/CMC #s.

Please do not allow Todd to strike panic into you all. I've emailed Dave to find out what is going on. This is the first of this I've heard. AI/CMC currently has it's own run group, so I'm not sure that it matters at this point if any changes happen at all.Quote:

Thanks Mitch...just trying to help.
There's been some talk of centralizing or ensuring each series manages car #'s (like we have always done), but it looked like Dave jumped right on it and developed a process. This was the first I had seen of it too. Sharing is Caring. :D

PS - Hope to actually see you racing this year!
Me too.
I may not be the smartest man in the world but wouldn't it be pretty dumb to have one set of permanent numbers for the whole region? (Coming from someone who doesnt need a number yet so has no horse in the race  ) The way Glenn is doing AI/CMC numbers now makes perfect sense so I am not sure why anyone would want to change that and basically limit the numbers available to racers. Sounds like it just requires a little work out fo the regional directors who I would assume should be at the track all of the races anyway.
Maybe I am just reading this wrong?
you're reading it wrong  its setup to be unique numbers within the run groups just like last year. In other groups where you've got as many as 6-7 different directors it is easier to coordinate at the top. Many other regions do it this way successfully.
So now we have to pay a fee to reserve our number????
In a way you always had to, it was tied to your Series Due's. The fee attached to the sheet in the link is for blocking out a number so only you can run it out of all the run groups. If you only plan to run AI/CMC, I don't see the need.Quote:

List is based on the list that was posted as the NASA Texas reserved number list. If you see errors or would like another number, then yes please send corrections to me.
