Its the rain part that concerns me. I'm pretty comfy with the thought that in the dry someone on 888s doesnt have an advantage. In the wet I'm not so sure.

You will never be able to properly police when it is "raining" or not. You have to allow the R888 for all conditions or none.
My vote is that they be allowed for all conditions all year long.

It's the same reasoning for allowing RA1s all of last year.

Guys! I just got the call I was waiting for from Treadzone in PA. He says that he has 24 tires (255/50-16), shaved, to the door for $920. If we get more than one order they can be shipped on a pallet to save some of the shipping cost (save and extra 5$ per tire). Let me know if you are interested. I haven't checked on the 17's yet but I'm sure he has these as well.
