JB, the car looks great, can't wait to see the finished product!
I replaced the clutch and waterpump in my car last weekend.
Now I just have to do brakes all the way around.
I would like to do some paint work if time permits, but that it looking pretty iffy at that point.
At the rate you are going you could be at the first race!!! Looks good and cant wait to see the finished product but you could stop there and it will be ready for the first lemons race!!Quote:

Would it not have been better to paint the insde before the wiring or are you going with the weight savings of no paint...?

I hope to do the same to mine over the next few weeks...going to be a big task though getting all that stuff out of the way!
Looks good Jeff! Now you and Wirtz and compete for cleanest interior too!
LOOKS GREAT! I wish I could be more help to you with the car. Maybe the next job, I will be back over there in the DFW area as I am sitting in Shreveport now...
Come on!
Fresh keg, plenty of sandpaper and 2 DA's.
jb
Uh - is it going to be ready for the first event? That would be amazing, yet not surprising.
Mine won't be.... Just got it home today after being away for over a month....it was cranky and a little pissed off but happy to be back home now!Quote:

Here's my switch panel.
I was never happy with the 2 homemade ones.
I still have to cut off the lower corners, put a bend/brake in it and put a finish on it.
Need help deciding.
Natural with black engraving fill or,
Black/white powder coat or,
Black anodize with white fill.
I'm thinking black paint then fill with white.
Frontpanelexpress does black anodize with white powder fill.
Clearcoat final coat.
My DAQ diaplay will go in the upper blank area.
I also have all black chrome knurled nuts for the switchs.
Thx,
jb

Too cool.
You're inspiring me to start thinking about a new front bumper cover and paint for CMC#2.
yep, thanks for the inspiration.. :P think I'm gonna get the car off the trailer and clean the mold outta the inside...
Jeff is definitely building a bling master. Nice work JB.
you may regret the clear aluminum....Gunter has some on his car and it's blinding in the sun...
I started working on my car tonight and started de-wiring the harness....I think there are more wires going to my fuel pump than burch has in his entire car! Dash wiring starts tomorrow.
Just wait till I show off my el paso inspired dash... Chew dink ew no bleeng...Quote:

So a catalyzed Auto paint? I am getting ready to paint the inside of my car soon and can't decide what color I want to use. I don't really want to do white like the rest of you guys have and I am tired of silver. I would like to do black so dirt doesn't show but that white does look great! :oops:Quote:

Omni MTK single stage from English Color.
$115/gal not including catalyst and reducer.
Already have a blue, red, silver and a 2 black Camaros in Tx.
I wanted white interior for temperture. Doing exterior in it by default.
Maybe Hugger Orange accents, dunno. Hadn't given it much thought other than what was cheap.

Are you concerned about any glare inside the windshield? I had to start blacking a few things out because they were visible on the inside of the windshield. Add to the fact there is a TON of greasy crap on the inside from nationals and the rain, and my 2 year old lexan windshield looks like crap....and Shields tells me that it is at the end of it's life! Won't be buying that shit again. I have a few weeks to figure it out as I have a LOT of work to do inside the car. I am considering redoing a portion of the cage I never liked too as well as some metal clean up. Taking this year off is going to finally let me do the car right.Quote:
