Hello all
Anyone done this and have some tips on how to do it?

Are they bolted or welded in?
On the last set on a 4th gen Camaro, I think we hit the bolt with a plasma. On those cars you almost need to have the outer door skin off to unbolt them, so fire works well.

Not sure how different the doors are between the S550 and S197. I'm surprised at how much is the same between my S197 and S550, aside from the IRS.

spent time cutting out door bar and medium gutting of door , 6 pounds per side. 2006 fr500 s . Was expecting more?

That's a good data point, was it a sheetmetal door bar on the S197? I thought it would be more as well.

Online people were saying 18 pounds, dont know if fr500s had lighter door bars, its possible , looks like regular sheetmetal door bar
3 pounds for bar
3 more for gutting door

Yeah those are skinny... the 4th gen bars are hardened steel tubes.. about 1" dia. Superior Ford metal...
