So I am going to finally install ARP studs on the rear of the 55. I see a set of 2.5" studs (10 of them) are $69.00 from several places like LMR and CJ Pony Parts. The thing I don't get is several places also sell a set of five 3" studs for $16.79 per set. So $69.00 for a set of 2.5" studs or $33.90 for 3" studs. What am I missing? Why are the 2.5" twice as much as the 3"?

I noticed the same thing. I got these 3.5" ones.

You can order the same stud as the front, and enlarge the rear axle hole with a 39/64" bit. This is BY FAR the cheapest/best route. The only way to get the "correct" rear stud is to order the BAER one, which is 5 times the cost.

I hope you are wrong Wade. I just ordered the same ones as Kevin.

Your right. I forgot I have that drill for the front hubs.

Jerry...I may be half right. I think it is the rears that are correct, and the fronts that your have to drill to match the rears. Either way, don't buy the big $ studs.

Yeah, Kevin said he did not have to drill the axles with those he bought (I got the same ones).
